This week, Scott and Vince are joined by special guest, Khea Pollard. Khea is the CEO of Café X: By Any Beans Necessary, a Black, mother-daughter-owned, cooperative coffee shop built to support generational wealth building in the Black community and other marginalized communities.

Khea shares the origins of the coffee shop and her passion for building community. Further, her "cooperative coffee shop" business model, has provided the sustained opportunity to create a strong culture of belongingness within her team, for the shop business itself, and for the communities it serves.

While being a CEO is challenging enough, if you add another day job on top of that and you’ve got Khea’s interesting and inspiring story. Through her job as a Director of Economic Mobility & Opportunity, she has helped several low-income groups in her community by providing them with resources and information regarding saving money.

Khea’s story will share her experience and shed light on how you too can become an effective and empathetic leader—whether you are starting out on that journey at a young age, as in Khea's case, or adjusting your leadership style later in life. So, press the play button & let’s get started!
