Wendy Chapman is the Director of Informatics at Melbourne University. She has a PhD in Medical Informatics from the University of Utah. Specialising in natural language processing (NLP), her research primarily revolves around the extraction of information from clinical reports. Wendy's contributions to the field extend beyond her individual research. She led the American Medical Informatics Association NLP Working Group and she actively collaborates with others in the development of shared conventions and resources for NLP.
