Rose is a modern take on the classic tale Sleeping Beauty. ’Rose’ is the story of Catherine and Michael, a couple in their 40′s who after years of wanting a child finally managed to conceive through IVF. As Rose grows up, Catherine becomes increasingly paranoid and overprotective of her daughter and her mental state and marriage both start to deteriorate. When the egg donor, Sarah, asks if she can meet her child, it is too much for Catherine and so begins a downwards spiral which will envelope both her husband and her daughter as they fight to save their perfect family life.
