Light of the ultimate conflict, the interplay
Showed the strange name of that familiar panic
That swept my ear like a feather through the shadow
Made me the soaring desire, a little wing.
Before this little hour, it reached the hour
Upon the waves that gave thy watery power
Turn thy fresh wave to every loving hour,
Smile the bright promise of thy loving flower;
Leave the weary footsteps to some humble folding.
Soft upon the thirsty lips of Curfew hours,
Until the hot fragrance of the flowering tips
Pries gently every leaf and all other grass
Every breath of a tree, in a little fold

Arch its vast light on every silvery line
On a bright horizon of victory and wealth.
Smile a fresh morning in our brave renown,
Spread on our banner to the quivering touch;
Down on our hearts the savage sorcerer howls,
They touch the magic ocean with their stoic eyes!
They see the sparkling billows of affection,
They make the world as their ethereal fire;
Leave their light gifts on every idle hour.
