Lawyer Power Couple Alex and Sarah Cornejo join Sports ‘N Torts for Episode 58. Both with their own law firms (Alex – focusing on immigration/Sarah – focusing on personal injury), we discuss how they have set up their firms to compliment one another and benefit from each other’s clients and client bases. The two discuss their growth strategies and the decisions that have led them to open up multiple locations in different areas (including New York and Peru).
Alex is originally from Peru and moved to the United States for Law School and has lived here ever since. He talks about growing up in Peru, the difference in schooling in Peru and the US, the difference in the legal systems, and how his background drew him to immigration work. We learn what immigration lawyers do and the day to day functions of the job. Alex shares specific heartwarming stories of work he has done for his clients and the joys it has brought him.
Sarah runs a successful personal injury practice while raising two small children. She talks about how she does it and her approaches to life, her cases and her firm. She explains her strategies for marketing and google reviews.
Finally, we discuss the “Cornejo Hour” – a daily radio show that Alex hosts in North Georgia that he was kind enough to invite me to as a guest.
