Personal trainer Paulina Romo is a woman of many talents and passions. Born in Mexico City to parents from Mexico and Mohara, she immigrated to the United States at a young age and grew up in the vibrant and diverse neighborhood of West Town in Chicago. Despite the challenges of relocating to a new country and culture, Romo thrived and found solace in her love for fitness from a young age.

Romo's interest in fitness began in high school, where she actively participated in cross country and soccer, and was coached by one of the toughest and most demanding coaches in the school. This experience not only honed her athletic skills and physical strength, but also instilled in her the discipline and determination to push through difficult challenges.

However, it wasn't until a personal tragedy struck her family that Romo truly found her calling in life. In 2014, her mother fell ill with a brain aneurysm, a traumatic experience that brought her and her family immense stress and uncertainty. During this trying time, Romo realized that she wanted to dedicate her life to understanding the intricacies of the human body and how to prevent illnesses like the one her mother suffered from.

This realization led her to pursue her certification and training in the field of fitness, and she went back to college to pursue her passion. She excelled in her studies and even had the opportunity to intern at a gym in South Loop, where she met her current boyfriend.

Just as she was about to achieve her dream of competing in her first bodybuilding competition, the pandemic hit and forced her to put her plans on hold. But despite the setbacks caused by the pandemic, Romo remains resolute in her pursuit of fitness and helping others achieve their fitness goals. She currently works as a personal trainer in the West Town area, which she loves, and continues to be an inspiration to those around her.

Through her story, Paulina Romo illustrates the power of perseverance and determination in the face of adversity. Despite facing numerous challenges throughout her life, she has remained steadfast in her pursuit of her passions and has emerged as a true leader in the field of fitness.
