Memphis 901 FC Assistant Coach Ben Pirmann is this episode's guest. While most know Ben as Head Coach Tim Mulqueen's right-hand man, his soccer story from player to second generation coach is one we are excited to share with you. Pirmann was solid college player, enjoying several successful season as a midfielder at Michigan State University. Tim Van Horn and Brodee Scott ask him about his playing days. Eventually, he transitioned from midfield to eventually coaching on the touchline of the Spartans. That spell went extremely well. In addition to four Elite Eight appearances, Pirmann was named National Top Assistant Coach in 2016 & 2017 by College Soccer News. Pirmann left no doubt about his leadership abilities during his next stop. He led Detroit City FC to a 49-17-17 record in the NPSL (now in NISA), routinely drawing crowds of over 6,000. He is remembered fondly by the DCFC faithful. At Memphis 901 FC, Pirmann continues to take pride in his work on the tactical side of the game. He discusses the necessary adjustments to coaching that come with the current sports shutdown. Thanks to Memphis 901 FC and Assistant Coach Ben Pirmann. When it comes to world soccer news, welcome to another edition of "Your Guess Is As Good As Mine." The French Prime Minister announced no sporting events will take place until at least September. This makes for a bit of a dilemma, because Ligue 1's Lyon and PSG are still alive in the UEFA Champions League. Speaking of UEFA, they've given 55 federations until May 25 to inform them regarding this season's league operations. The Premier League and Bundesliga have indicated they want to complete their respective seasons. The Dutch Eredivisie ended its campaign with no promotions or relegations.
