“I don’t want to be your monkey wrench!” Episode 15 sees the return of R&B-aficionado-turned-rock-chick Farrah, who joins Kiara to review Foo Fighters’ sophomore album, The Color and the Shape (1997). In this episode we revisit the “Everlong” career of the band, from their post-Nirvana inception to the Broken Leg Tour to KISS guy, discussing the songs that really scream, slap, and sway. And over the course of a few Monkey Gland cocktails, Kiara and Farrah get “Up in Arms” over the power of this record; revisiting awkward eighth grade dances, their personal experiences seeing the Foos live in concert, and their self-proclaimed “Foo-fecta” of perfect tracks; as well as their undying love for the nice guy of rock n’ roll himself, Dave Grohl. Through rough break-ups, line-up shake-ups, and encounters with Bob Dylan, he will always be our hero (he’s ordinary!)
