US Taxpayers Hit With Record Penalties in FY2

• The government has become desperate for funding, seeking out money from their own citizens through taxation. Not only have they raised taxes for every bracket, but the IRS managed to squeeze more money out of Americans through audits for fiscal year 2023 than any year on record. In fact, the IRS shook down Americans for an additional $7 billion in tax penalties alone – a 300% increase from FY22.

• . Biden claimed he would target the hated “rich” but reports have found that the majority of those targeted were gig economy workers and freelancers. Biden has done everything in his power to kill the gig economy. The IRS hates the gig economy because they believe those workers are stealing from Uncle Sam.
• The average penalty for underestimating taxes was around $150 in 2022. This year, the average penalty was around $500.
• The IRS also ramped up its campaign to fine anyone who missed the tax deadline. Late payment fees increased to $485 or 100% of the tax owed if that amount is less. Then there is the question of “How much do I owe?” The tax system in the US is so complex that there are careers dedicated toward figuring out that predicament. Every citizen and business would prefer if the government simply told them how much they needed to pay. Instead, they deliberately make the tax code vague in order to penalize everyone and anyone.
• The penalty for underpayment rose in the past year from 3% to 8%. There is no grace for those who cannot afford to pay their due amount as the IRS charges interest on all payments that are not made in full. Those who intentionally disregarded their payments faced a $630 penalty or 10% of the amount owed.

People who spend a higher percentage of their income on necessities — housing, utilities, food, clothing, etc. — would pay a higher amount in tariffs, relatively speaking. Those who spend less on necessities, or who earn income from investments, would pay less.
• On a longer-term basis, the intended effect of a tariff is to reduce the amount of imported goods. So, the all-tariff plan might eliminate the need for income taxes in the short term, but if it works as intended, it should bring in less money over time. The current income tax system in the U.S. is designed to bring in more money over time, as incomes rise.
• This entire argument is based on keeping the federal reserve. Having the people pay a price for borrowing money. The tariffs work when we remove the federal reserve not while we have the federal reserve.

• It’s late in the Supreme Court’s term, which means it’s hunting season for the justices’ detractors. As usual, Clarence Thomas is a prime target. Fix the Court, which styles itself a nonpartisan advocate for “non-ideological ‘fixes’ ” to make the judiciary “more open and more accountable”—released a chart purporting to show that Justice Thomas has received almost $4.2 million in gifts and “likely gifts” between 2004 and 2023.
• The other 16 justices who served during that period, according to the chart, received a combined total of less than $600,000 in gifts. That includes a mere $3,150 for Justice Anthony Kennedy, $55,014 for Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, and $15,500 for Justice Stephen Breyer.
• Can that be true? No. A review of Fix the Court’s claims shows multiple errors and deceptions:
• • It counts as “gifts” Justice Thomas’s trips and vacations with friends that weren’t required to be disclosed. Fix the Court counts annual visits by Justice and Ginni Thomas to the summer home of their longtime friends Harlan and Kathy Crow as a gift valued at $280,950. But no other justice’s visits to close friends’ homes are listed on its chart.
• In 2011, 20 Democratic lawmakers filed an ethics complaint regarding Justice Thomas not disclosing his trips with the Crows. In response, the U.S. Judicial Conference, which regulates judges’ financial disclosures, concluded in 2012 that Justice Thomas wasn’t required to report such trips and vacations.
• • It uses an inconsistent standard for what constitutes a “gift” to inflate Justice Thomas’s numbers. He traveled to Dallas in 2022 to speak at a civil-rights conference hosted in part by the American Enterprise Institute. Fix the Court counts the plane travel provided by Mr. Crow, an AEI trustee, as a gift valued at $68,333.
• But the group doesn’t count Justice Breyer’s more than 230 trips for events—63 of them outside the U.S.—including the 17 trips the Pritzker family’s Architecture Foundation paid for Justice Breyer to take to London, Paris, Beijing and Copenhagen. Justice Kennedy and his wife traveled to Europe many summers for a month to teach seminars, but none of those trips are on the Fix the Court chart.

Crazy Maxine Waters Fears For Her Safety If Trump Wins, Warns ‘Millions’ at Risk of Violence and Killings (VIDEO)

• Far-left California Rep. Maxine Waters has said she fears for her safety if Donald Trump wins the presidential election in November.
• ,’ Waters suggested that Trump would target her and other people of color if he returns to the White House.
• “How concerned are you about your safety if Donald Trump is re-elected?” asked host Jonathan Capehart.
• Waters replied:

I’m very concerned, not only about my safety and not only about the safety of members of Congress. I’m concerned about the safety of so many people in this country, particularly people of color. Donald Trump has said that if he does not win, it is going to be fraud, and because it is going to be fraud, there will be blood in the streets.

I do believe having listened to Donald Trump so many times and having the attack, the insurrection that took place on the House of Representatives in Congress, on the Capitol, the Capitol grounds, we could be in for more killings like that. I think Donald Trump has to take responsibility for what he is saying about blood in the streets and violence if he is not elected to be the president of the United States of America.

DEVELOPING: Cyber Group Claims it Hacked the Federal Reserve… But Cybersecurity Experts Express Doubts About Claims

• ‘Russian’ cyber group dubbed LockBit claims it hacked the Federal Reserve and exfiltrated 33 terabytes of sensitive banking data.
• LockBit boasted about the breach on the dark web this week.
• “33 terabytes of juicy banking information containing Americans’ banking secrets,” LockBit wrote. “You better hire another negotiator within 48 hours, and fire this clinical idiot who values Americans’ bank secrecy at $50,000.”

• Cybersecurity experts expressed doubts about LockBit’s claims.
• “If Lockbit ransomware group actually ransomed the United States Federal Reserve it would be DEFCON 2 and the administrators would need to worry about a drone strike,” the group jokingly wrote. “Unless Lockbit ransomware group ransomed something small in the Federal Reserve, like maybe Lockbit took down their coffee machine and they can’t watch anime or something (we don’t know what the staff at the Federal Reserve actually do).”
