In this episode, we discuss a study from Turkey titled The Effects of Complete Decongestive Therapy, Intermittent Pneumatic Compression Therapy, or Exercise Only in the Treatment of Severe Lipedema: A Randomized Controlled Trial, published in Lymphatic Research and Biology in December 2020. The researchers explored the effectiveness of different interventions for women with later-stage lipedema. The study suggests that exercise plays a crucial role in treating stage 3-4 lipedema and that combining it with manual lymph drainage and compression bandaging can lead to more optimal outcomes.
