First, the plaintiff says the defendants hired her to send out VIP invitations and create press releases for a New York fashion event and they agreed to pay her $5,000. She says she did an outstanding job, but they’re refusing to compensate her in full. She’s suing for what she’s still owed. The defendants say they hired the plaintiff to also raise funds for their event, but she didn’t. They’re countersuing for a refund on services not rendered.

Then, the plaintiff says he repaired the defendant’s car, but she stole it off his lot before she paid him for all his hard work and the parts he bought. He’s suing for every penny he’s owed. The defendant says she hired the plaintiff to put in a new engine and he didn’t do it. She says he actually owes her money and is countersuing for missed work.
