Imagine leaving the only home you have with nothing. No money, language barriers, no family or friends to fall back on. Worse yet, there is no turning back. That's what happens to thousands of young adult Amish as they strive to leave their Amish communities to find a new world of opportunity in the American way of life.
Joe Keim, Executive Director of MAP (Mission to Amish People) Ministry and founder of the Beyond Measure Market seek to provide services and employment to these young people, especially the girls who are most at risk. Former Amish himself, Joe knows the struggles they're going through, and what they need to survive. He's made it his life's mission to help them overcome the imminent hurdles before them.
Why do they leave? What do they need? What pressures need to be relieved. It's not an easy path he's chosen, but it is God's work...and it is on Purpose.
