In this first episode of the show I take the time to express why I believe there is a need for at least one more brand in outdoors media and why I feel I am capable of filling that void. I also get into my background as a sportsman before taking a deep dive into my personal values and morals when it comes to outdoor pursuits and natural resource conservation.

We also get into how health, fitness, and balanced relationships all have a direct impact on our effectiveness as hunters, fishermen, foragers, and wild folk. Lastly, I also touch on the intended format and future of Hunt for Health and discuss what types of content listeners should expect as our first season begins to roll out.

I know challenging long standing norms within the culture you love is never gonna make you the most popular guy in the woods. But bringing up largely unspoken issues and pushing sportsmen and women to better themselves is going to be a part of what we do here. As long as it's done while having fun and helping remind people how to enjoy their time engaged in the activities they love, it'll always be worth catching a little flack here and there as the guy that is sticking his neck out. I can promise this: I will always speak for the sake of the future of consumptive outdoor recreation and the preservation of the lifestyles these passions foster which we all cherish so very much.
