As you open your bible to Acts chapter 6 this morning an old saying comes to mind, “beauty is only skin deep but ugliness goes clear to the bones”. It comes to mind because here in chapter 6 we are introduced to Stephen, the first martyr in New Testament, the first martyr in the church and you can’t help but notice something about Stephen that Dr. Luke takes note of and makes sure that his readers don’t miss, Stephens face.
