In this beautiful and motivational episode, “An Unbroken Bond Part 3", we continue to explore the last most intense circumstance that the saints at Rome encountered during the time this epistle was penned.
The last circumstance is the sword which is also martyrdom.
Many believers in Rome died and suffered as martyrs during the days of the Apostle Paul. Some were killed in Roman arenas and amphitheaters. Some crucified, some exposed to the fury of dogs, and others burned alive.
They died for the faith and what they believed.
How would we respond if someone threatened to kill us for the sake of the gospel?
The worst thing that can be done to us is really the best. To be absent from this decaying corrupt body is to be present with the Lord.
The love of Christ is unfailing, and it transcends martyrdom! The love of Christ is stronger than death itself.
In this lesson, the Word of God gives us hope and assurance that our ultimate preservation and security is in Christ Jesus!
We end this lesson with practical applications that will keep us focused on biblical truth and strengthen the bond of love that exists between the Lord and us!
