As the claw of winter tears at Hafnir's weary mind, Aeglas' efforts to find the Khûndu's lair finally bear fruit. But not all are pleased by the discovery. Aeglas and Yellow Mane meet again, and their blood mingles with that of princess Frirla on the flagstones of the greenhouse floor. Frirla reveals the niðid Kalystra's final prophecy.
