We are living in tough times! As we continue to navigate how to tackle difficult conversations as communicators, host Kim Clark is joined by special guest, San Jose State University Radio-Television-Film Professor, Kimb Massey. Together, these two “firestarters” share their perspectives on how to decipher the facts from the propaganda as it relates to media representation and the conversations to be had with each other hereafter. Kimb is no stranger to complex conversation as her experience spans all the way back to watching TV as a little girl with little to no diversity. Now, she charges herself, and those she works with, to question privilege, share perspectives and be a role model - where there are none - for dialogue in the workplace. This episode tackles how communicators use the role of the media on what we learn, how we see the world and how we see ourselves as communicators during times of strife and uncertainty.
