This episode goes real hard about things love and Valentine's because sometimes we are allowed to dwell on those grade school memories. Are they romantic and whimsical? Not even a little bit. There's much self deprecating conversation about the awkward hideoes ways we saw our younger selves. Alex is a grade A baker who is as real as could be about growing up gay in a community that wasn't the most accepting only to open the very best tiny bakery in that exact same smallish town! Such a supportive and strong community advocate that you wouldn't recognize any of the self concious little loser he descibes with us.
