We are so excited to have our first-ever repeat interview with the delightful, Evie Dunmore! Not only is she such a smokeshow (sorry Evie it had to be said!), but her debut novel, Bringing Down the Duke, was one of our favorite books so far on the podcast. And it felt so poetic to have her back for the 4th and final book in the series, The Gentleman's Gambit.

If you missed our first Evie interview, check it out here!

Some major highlights:

  • The bittersweet feeling of finishing the series
  • The difference between writing the first book for the love of it, versus writing the final book with the commercial process involved
  • How writing this love story wasn't as planned out as much as the first three stories
  • Writing in her non-dominant language and how that leads to her structuring her sentences differently.
  • Evie shares what draws her to historical romance vs contemporary romance
  • Why Catriona's happy ending with Elias was so important to her

If you wanna catch more Evie you can head to her website, or chat with her on Insta!
