In todays episode we have a more in depth look at each of the teams in Group B at the 2024 European Championships.

Passing Types

With only one match day to go Spain are in the driving seat with two wins and 6 points. Due to the head to head rule taking priority they've already been crowned group winners...... something that we weren't aware of at the time of recording. :)

Spain V Albania - Spain have two wins against two very strong opponents, and we think that their style of play radar chart shows more a style that's a result of their opponents rather than how Spain would naturally want to play. Croatia are a strong team in possession, therefore, that could be why Spain have a lower than expected possession ranking. Albania show to be a more direct and counter attacking side, very similar to Hungary in Group A. We expect this to be a game where Spain have a lot of the ball with Albania looking for opportunities to break quickly when they regain possession.

Italy v Croatia - This is the more intriguing match up with Croatia needing a win to leapfrog Italy into a qualification spot. We expect Croatia to have more of the ball, but can they create high quality chances to out score an Italian team that was battered by Spain, but managed to hang in there and still had half chances that could have rescued an unlikely point. We see both sides as having high attacking potential, and neither being particularly solid at the back..... we're hoping for goals in this one.
