Andrew McGivern: Today is April 29th and welcome to The Daily Quote - a podcast designed to kickstart your day in a positive way. I’m your host, Andrew McGivern, and I hope by the end of this episode… you’ll be dancing.

Why?

Because today isn’t just any ordinary day. Oh no, it’s International Dance Day! So, whether you have two left feet or can give Fred Astaire a run for his money, today’s the day to celebrate the art of dance. Just remember, no one’s watching, and if they are—may as well give them a good show!

I'm recording this in my car again… thanks to the inspiration from Cliff Ravenscraft from mindsetanswerman.com. I'm parked in a busy parking lot with my podcast studio set up in the car. And if that isn't strange looking enough Im chair dancing as I record this and I don't care…

Speaking of dance, our quote today ties in beautifully. It’s from the legendary dancer and choreographer, Martha Graham. She said,

“Dance is the hidden language of the soul.”

Let’s unpack that for a moment. Think about it—when words fail, when emotions brim too high for our mouths to form coherent sentences, isn’t it often that music and movement take over? Dance, in its essence, is a primal and profoundly expressive form of communication. You might not realize it, but every time you tap your foot to a beat or sway during a slow song, you’re speaking this ancient, universal language.

On International Dance Day, Martha’s words remind us that to dance is to connect—deeply and wordlessly—with the very core of our being and, quite possibly, with those around us. It’s not about the steps or the routine; it’s about the stories we tell when we let our bodies do the talking.

So, why not let your soul speak today? Turn on your favorite song, clear a little space in your living room or even in your office (if you’re feeling brave), and just dance. It doesn’t matter what it looks like—it’s what it feels like that counts.

Andrew McGivern: Thank you for tuning in to The Daily Quote. Remember, you don’t just listen to this podcast, you live it—so live it well. Until next time, keep moving, keep feeling, and keep dancing to the rhythm of your own drum.

Oh and dance your little fingers over to the follow or subscribe button and I look forward to having you back tomorrow.
