Imagine a bustling marketplace in ancient times, where a merchant sells ornately decorated pots. To the untrained eye, they appear perfect, but a closer inspection reveals hidden cracks filled with wax, disguised under paint. A wise buyer, however, knows a simple test – exposing the pots to sunlight, which melts the wax and reveals the truth. This scene is akin to our spiritual lives.
