By the time he was running 250 locations, he and his father embarked on a groundbreaking venture: creating the first tax software for an Apple computer. Despite the initial reluctance from a computer-wary public, John's perseverance and vision led to the birth of Jackson Hewitt, which he later sold for a staggering $483 million.
