Today I speak with the lovely Sophie Burch AKA, the Mamma Coach. Sophie is on a mission to put mental and emotional wellbeing more on the map in pregnancy, birth, postpartum and parenting. Sophie has been a mother for 18 years to 4 boys (including twins). She is also a perinatal therapist coach, a birth trauma and PND survivor. Her experience has shaped who she is and awakened her to a life of compassion and deep empathy for everyone from pre-conception through parenting to menopause. Her approach is simple: to allow people to feel held and heard, safe and worthy of love and self acceptance. Sophie believes that our strength comes from self compassion, kindness and knowledge, which is her ethos.

2020 saw her launch her book, Beyond Birth: A Mindful Guide for Early Parenting. This guide is available as a published book on Amazon, as an ebook and audiobook. Further, she has created parent-baby support sessions and a practitioner training course, which I have personally participated in.

Sophie is a trainer and team member at Perinatal Mental Health Training CIC with leading Perinatal expert and author Dr Jane Hanley and offers online and in-person training, 1:1 therapy and coaching. She has spoken on the mental health expert panel at The Baby Show twice, alongside leading campaigners and doctors.

I know you'll get a lot of value from this episode and please reach out to myself or Sophie if you would like to share or offer feedback and/or benefit further from Sophie's expertise & support.

I hope you enjoy the episode and please do reach out if this conversation has evoked big feelings.
