A busy schedule can feel overwhelming. The responsibilities that come with family, work, church, friends, and maybe even a little time for yourself, can feel like more than you can do. But when we think about twelve apostles that were appointed by Jesus, it's easy to believe that they were exceptional and that somehow they could do it all.
The Bible tells it differently. When Jesus appointed his twelve apostles, he did not instruct them to be all things to all people. He did not tell them to do everything themselves. Jesus told them to pray.
Jesus told those closest to him to pray. This is good advice for us, too.
“The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.” (Matthew 9:37-38, ESV)
