Speaking to a large and friendly crowd, Jesus says, "Y'all are the light of the world." (Matthew 5:15)
Later in his life, Jesus is speaking to a large and UNfriendly crowd. To them Jesus says, "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life." (John 8:12, ESV)
So, which is it? Or, in the power of our God, can both statements be equally true?
As we continue to explore the relationship between light and darkness as they are found in the Bible, we now learn that each individual may carry the most powerful light of all.
