When is it too soon to start planning for retirement? When is it too late? How much should I need, and will Social Security be enough?

An experienced clinician and award winning medical educator, Dr. Lloyd adds a powerful new dimension toWealth+HealthSM, Transamerica's innovative thought leadership initiative. He shares his insights to audiences nationwide through presentations that are impactful, authentic, and unapologetically humorous. Following retirement from the US Army Medical Corps, Doctor Lloyd held senior faculty appointments at several leading medical institutions. He has authored or co-authored over 50 original manuscripts, textbooks and research abstracts. He has been a reviewer for several leading medical journals and is a six time recipient of the AMA Physician’s Recognition Award. He has held leadership positions in various national and international professional organizations, such as the American Academy of Ophthalmology.

As an accomplished writer and public speaker, Doctor Lloyd is able to explain and demystify complex concepts with clarity and energy. He is credited with establishing the first physician-led online community at WebMD. For eight years, he produced and hosted “Healthy Living”, a weekly feature broadcast live on CNN.

Bill lives in Frisco, Texas with his wife, Dr. Mary O’Hara, a recognized authority in pediatric ophthalmology. In their free time they head outdoors to explore the rugged Texas terrain.

Together they bike, play golf, and spoil their three grandchildren.
