Welcome to today's episode of Queerly Popular. Today we will be talking about the film Hidden Kisses.

Before I get into anything else, I made a mistake last episode. I thought this was a German language film, but it is a French film. Sorry about the error.

Hidden Kisses is a movie about 2 boys who are caught kissing and what happens to them because of this. The film is basically evenly divided between Nathan's story and Louis' story. The stories parallel each other in certain ways and also massively diverge in others.

The movie does not have a happy ending per se, but it isn't as sad as others. There is sadness there, but there is also a sense of hope and community and family and love right around the corner.

We will be back with an episode on March 14. I am not sure what the topic will be right now. I am hoping it will be a conversation with Brian G, Murphy about queerness in early 00s tv, but it might not be. It depends on what goes on with his schedule.
