When poverty is the reality for everyone in a country, both believers and nonbelievers alike grapple with a deep sense of shame. Suffering becomes the norm, and only God can provide hope for freedom from this pervasive despair.

In this week’s podcast episode, I am honored to welcome Delphine Fanfon, a dedicated minister living in Cameroon. In this first of a two-part series, Delphine—affectionately known as Della—opens up about her personal journey with shame. Growing up as a pastor’s child, she faced immense expectations that felt impossible to meet. Lacking mentors to guide her, she struggled to trust God with her true identity.

Join us as Della candidly shares her experiences, offering a powerful testimony of faith and resilience. Her story is a testament to the transformative power of God’s love and the importance of community and mentorship.

In this episode, you'll learn:

  • The incredible vision for ministry God has given Delphine
  • A glimpse of her experience growing up and coming to know Jesus
  • What life is like for believers in Africa
  • How sin management plays a key role in being captive to shame
  • Why Delphine had a rebellious response to the pressure of being a pastor's daughter
