The day Jayne and I talked about the book White Women: Everything you already know about your own racism and how to do better, I woke up here in Milwaukee to snow. In April. Yes I'm a Prince fan and yes I'm familiar with the jokes.

On May 1 I was running an errand with my kiddo and we sat at a stopsign for about 7 extra seconds, marveling at the snowflakes hitting the windshield. Moments earlier it had been raining, and moments later it was raining again. But for a few moments, it was snowing.

So I dug back into the audio recordings from my convo with Jayne and stitched together a short version of the first 20 minutes of our interview -- this is a new track where we connect the climate crisis to antiracism and unpack the ways that there is essentially one job for white women to do, and we need to do it over and over and everywhere.

I hope you enjoy this shortie episode!
