Olivia’s House has an unmatched reputation with its proven program model, incredible volunteers, and tremendous support from the community.

In addition to providing support after the death of a loved one, the team can help a family cope with a terminal illness diagnosis or even a chronic illness. Families will learn to navigate difficult conversations and emotions.

What You Need to Know

(06:39) Olivia’s House is an independent non-profit organization wholly sustained by volunteers and the community.

(11:23) The programs for children and families are free of charge. If a child needs an outside specialist, the folks at Olivia’s House will refer the family to a trusted professional and often can help with the cost of outside services.

(12:28) Programs last four or eight weeks depending on the age of the child. The team also meets with the parents to promote healthy and necessary conversations. Family engagement is key to the program’s success.

(15:45) Some volunteers receive special training and work directly with the children. But there are many volunteer options: bake cookies, answer phones, assist with the gala, etc.

(22:22) Gala tickets are in high demand, but the silent auction is available to everyone via the website.

(25:28) Donations come in many shapes and sizes, with 100% of proceeds going directly to the organization. There is an Amazon wish list for those who prefer to donate specific items. Memorial donations are also a great way to honor a loved one.
