We are tasting 2 chardonnays from River Road Family Wineries – an Oaked wine and an Un-Oaked wine. I want to give a high-level summary into 2 major ways that chardonnays are made and point out some magic words that might help you when deciding on your next bottle. Since both wines used “sur lie” ageing, we discuss this winemaking technique as well.
