Story is software for the heart.
A great story well told is your greatest tool for influencing behavior. Your listeners can “call up” that story in the future and apply new input specific to the current situation. The story “programs” your listeners to take action based on the emotions the story generates. And this is how a story can continue to influence long after you've told your story.
