Drew Elliott is like so many of Phillip’s favorite creative co-conspirators, but with an extra splash of special sauce. We know you will enjoy this inspiring conversation about fashion and passion on this episode of True Crime, Fashion, and Passion. Drew was a style and pop culture savant in the making before he even made it. He was the kind of kid that was destined to break the internet before the internet was part of all of our day-to- day lives. Hidden away in a perfect suburban life, Drew Elliott grew up as a simple boy next door with a dream, some makeup, and a super supportive family, which is the gift that keeps on giving, especially for those of us creatives that have a passion for fashion and a flair for fun and fabulous at an early age. Drew's creativity was bursting at the seams, even as a kid. He had a yearning to create what hadn't been created and a desire to set out on an unchartered path to make makeup create magic. His story and pilgrimage to fame, fabulosity, NYC is the stuff that little gay boys and creative geniuses are made of. However, never in his wildest dreams could he imagine he could manifest being such a powerful force to be reckoned with in the fashion industry at PAPER Magazine and now at M.A.C Cosmetics. You don't get to the top of the fashion and creative world by just dreaming about it. Drew has always had an insatiable appetite for knowledge and all things that catch our eyes and catch our interest. His relentless artistic talent and flair put him front and center to create iconic pop culture moments that leave us all gob smacked by his unique perspective and depth. Drew is so much more than a superficial splash in the sea of contemporary culture. He has collaborated with some of the most iconic names in the fashion and beauty industry. Their collaborations are legendary: from Kim Kardashian breaking the internet on the cover of PAPER to Cher and Saweetie creating a little multi-generational fashion magic for M.A.C. Drew’s drip is the wave that washes over us all and leaves us yearning to see what collaborations and colorful celebrity campaigns he will come up with next. Join Phillip Bloch and co-host Pat Cleveland as they dive deep into the drama and diversity that inspire Drew to break barriers in the advertising and fashion world. Listen closely as he drops the names of his favorite new designers and creative co-conspirators. This is the list you don't want to miss on your favorite new fashion obsession, True Crime, Fashion, and Passion. True Crime, Fashion, and Passion is recorded and edited at DNR Studios in New York, NY. The podcast is hosted by Phillip Bloch, cohosted by Carol Alt and Pat Cleveland.
