When it comes to women who have had an abortion, guilt, shame and anger are often chains that hold them to their past. They feel that they have commited the unforgivable sin and that they will have to bear that burden for the rest of their lives. That is why we are so blessed to have Paula Ellefson as our guest on this episode of the Music for the Soul Podcast. Paula shares her story of having two abortions as a teenager and carrying that secret into her adult life. She then describes the moment it all fell away, and as she confessed to her earthly father, she heard "there is nothing you could do that would ever make me ashamed of you." In that moment, not only did she feel the love and forgiveness of her earthly father, but of her Heavenly Father as well. Paula offers ways to seek hope, connection, and healing for women and men who have carried secret guilt over an abortion decision in their past. Through projects like Mercy Great Enough, she began to see that nothing can separate us from the love and forgiveness of God. Our listeners can receive a free copy of the Mercy Great Enough devotional at the link below. You are never alone. There is always hope and healing for you through Christ our Lord.
