Ty Sintrell (she/her), founder of Bride Navy, joins me to talk about how lesbian weddings are different and special, but also kind of the same as straight weddings.
This is something the wedding industry has to learn to hold in balance, both that queer weddings are special and unique, and, also, that queer weddings are, first and foremost, weddings! And they can and often will have all of the trappings of hetero weddings.

We talked briefly about Ty’s own wedding that she’s planning with her fiancée, and I offered some advice about getting their seemingly very different visions to line up together;
How the proposal happens, and how couples decide who will propose;
