Get ready to transport yourself into the future. This is my prediction on the biggest growing industry coming up in the next several years.

Thank you so much for tuning into this episode of the Momentum Marketing Podcast. As always, I am your host, Jillian Kendrick and I'm so glad that you're here with me today. Thank you so much. No matter where you get your podcast or how you're listening to me, make sure you hit that subscribe button so that you get all of the latest episodes downloaded to your phone, tablet computer, Youtube, wherever as soon as they're available.

Now in this episode, I am talking about one of the biggest industries that I see coming up very, very soon. And honestly, I think that if you're not part of it, you're going to be left in the dust. So listen up. Yes. AI is a huge thing. Yes, I have done and will continue to do podcast episodes and content and other things about AI and CHAT GPT and all of that. And I love it. It's wonderful. I don't think it's going away any time soon, but there is an untapped market, an untapped, not even an industry. I wouldn't even call it an industry yet.

But there's kind of this subset of people doing this thing that I'm about to talk about in a second that I really think is going to be the next wave of the big things that completely transforms the market and transforms our world. And before you judge me, just hear me out, I'm not one to do predictions and that sort of thing. Even I as a consumer hate it when I hear people say, oh, this is gonna be the next big thing or that's gonna be the next big thing. And sometimes I can kind of follow the breadcrumbs and I can see, yes, I agree that that might be true or this is ridiculous or whatever the case may be. But in this particular case, I can really genuinely see the entire future of this about what I'm about to talk about. And I hope that this episode will enlighten you and give you some ideas as to how you can do it too. So hear me out.

I really believe beyond the shadow of a doubt that the next big, big, big, big industry even more so than what they're doing with AI is 3D printing. And you might say, oh Jillian, we know about 3D printing and anybody can spend a couple 100 bucks on Amazon and buy a 3D printer and blah, blah, blah. But hear me out, I really see the future of 3D printing being this. In the exact same way that most modern households have printers and people can print airplane tickets or they can print a document or they can print stuff at home. I really believe that 3D printers are going to become even cheaper and even more accessible for the average household to the point that I really do believe major corporations are going to be selling their goods, their wares, their products. But I also, in addition, believe that they will have a 3D printed version of everything that they sell. So I really think in the next couple of years or maybe even the next decade that Macy's and IKEA and Home Depot and Walmart and Target and General Motors and Kia and Microsoft and Apple and half a dozen others will not only sell you their goods and their products and whatever else that they have to offer you. But if you need a replacement part or if you need a piece of furniture from IKEA, I really genuinely believe that not only can you buy the normal things like we do right now and have them either shipped to you or pick them up at a store.

But I see the vision of where 3D printing is going. And I really do believe that major corporations and even then eventually small businesses will then be selling you a 3D model of the thing that you want that you can then print at home. So you don't have to wait for that replacement part. If one of the letters or numbers on your keyboard breaks and you need one immediately, you don't want to have to go out to get it. You don't want to have to wait for it to be shipped. You could buy or just download the file from Microsoft or from Apple or from Hewlett Packard and then be able to 3D print yourself a replacement key or letter or number for your keyboard. And that this truly is going to be the new Digital Age of e-commerce. It's not just gonna be you buy something and then it gets shipped to you or you buy it and you can go pick it up in the store, which is all amazing. And I'm totally a part of that and love it. But I really do believe that very, very soon, major corporations, small businesses are going to be selling you the 3D model of something. And then normal, average households are going to have access to easy 3D printers that are economical and people would buy cartridges of filament in the same way that they go and buy ink. And starting to think in terms of e-commerce and other corporations and selling these replacement parts. I really do believe that this is one of the next big, big things in e-commerce. And I think if you're ahead of the game and you start now in mid 2023 start now learning how to use Autocad or learning how to use these 3D modeling Softwares. Learning what a slicer is, learning how to load things into a printer, understanding what that process looks like. And if you can or hire somebody who has the skill to be able to create things in a 3D modeled world, then you can sell those models. You can sell the ability for somebody to take that thing who needs it and print it at home on demand without having to go to a store to buy it without having to buy it and wait for it to be shipped. Even without somebody having to wait for it to get delivered to their house.

There are all sorts of websites where you can find free 3D printing files. You can also use something like Cults, Turbo Squid, Thingiverse, and My Mini Factory. That is an entire library of 3D printed models that you can download and start to look at what people are doing. I don't believe that 3D models are just for toys and trinkets and dust, collectible brika braka. I really do see the future of 3D printing as a printing product on demand e-commerce industry.

And I think that somebody who wants a side hustle or somebody who wants to change jobs and careers can get into this industry can understand 3D printing, 3D modeling, learn that software get into that world and then go on Amazon and start to do some research of what replacement parts that are made with plastic are the most commonly purchased. And then you can create those models and sell those models to people. Somebody is going to become the next ebay and the next Amazon of 3D printing and it could be you, you could create 3Dprintingwarehouse.com and create an e-commerce site where other people who have 3D models can post what they have for sale on your site just like an Etsy. It can become Etsy for 3D modeling where somebody who has a printer could buy a model, could buy that download, and then load it into their slicer and 3D printer and automatically print something on demand. And that could very well be you.

I really do believe that Amazon Etsy Walmart, Target Macy's Home Depot Lowe's, you name it. I really do believe that all of these titans of industry e-commerce platforms, they're all going to have a print on demand section of their website and of their product offerings within the next couple of years, if not decade, I see it. I see the vision. I see the convenience factor. People being able to print stuff on their own at home easily. And as 3D printing becomes more commonplace, the hardware and the technology becomes more accessible to the average household, we're going to see more and more of this happen.

Now, granted, can you print a brand new pair of earbuds? Well, no, there's limitations to it. Right. There will be mechanical pieces and proprietary stuff that you can't replace or you can't 3D print. I totally get that. It's certainly not a perfect world where I could immediately replace a pair of headphones because those headphones have wires and filament and they need to be soldered and there's other pieces besides the plastic. I totally get that. But for replacement parts, if I lost the cap to my water bottle, if I wanted to print a new phone cover, if I wanted a brand new wristband for my Apple watch, because I have a big wrist and find it. Apple watch wrist bands for me is really difficult. So, wouldn't it be amazing to just print my own at home? And I could buy a cool designed one from Apple or Etsy or somewhere else? That would be amazing. I would love that.

We are far from being able to print lots of different things on demand. But as far as replacement parts and little knick knacks and other things that you would need. I think the future is very, very, very near. And I see there being a big market for all of these things. I really see the big titans of industry getting on board and having specific places on their website where you can purchase, download, slice, and print replacement parts or different things direct to consumer. And again, you could very well be the next ebay or Etsy of 3D printing. If you really wanted to, somebody's going to be it. Why not you?

So there it is. That's my prediction 3D printing, e-commerce, 3D printing, I really do believe and can fully see the vision of it becoming a humongous industry in the next couple of years. Granted, it is just a prediction. So we'll have to wait and see if that comes true.

But in the meantime, if this has spiked your interest in any way, I definitely encourage you to go out there, do some Googling, do some research and figure out how you can get ahead of the game and to be part of this big upcoming industry.
