Jesse Gould founded the Heroic Hearts Project and is a tireless advocate for veteran access to psychedelic-assisted therapies. Jesse explains how US veterans struggle with mental health issues like PTSD, depression, anxiety, and substance abuse—more veterans have died by suicide than in post-9/11 combat. Traditional treatments often fall short, leaving many veterans feeling hopeless and alone. But now, there is a growing movement to give veterans access to psychedelic therapies like MDMA and psilocybin, which have shown remarkable success in treating these conditions. Advocacy groups and veterans like Jesse Gould are fighting to change laws and regulations that have long kept these treatments out of reach, and are pushing for more research and education about the benefits of these therapies. Through their efforts, they hope to provide veterans with the care they need and deserve and to bring healing and hope to those who have sacrificed so much for their country.
