Today, Kobe Bogaert and Pam Fox Rollin host a conversation with Alicia Wallace on artisan entrepreneurship in Africa and how accessing the US market can raise living standards for workers in Africa.

Alicia is the co-founder and CEO of All Across Africa, an organization dedicated to driving social change through the ethical production and distribution of sustainably made artisan goods. All Across Africa partners with and builds artisan communities throughout the continent to create a strong and reliable supply chain for brands looking to source wovens and natural fiber basketry.

As a volunteer in Sierra Leone, Alicia saw how hard life conditions can be for local communities. She and her partner Greg developed a program that would help local communities earn money for their skills while also building the economy, creating cultural value, and promoting artisans.

Customers really do care about the origin story of the people making their crafts. In this episode, Alicia explains how conversations, using coherent narrative and storytelling, have helped All Across Africa create a thriving cultural business environment with more than 8500 artists across five African countries.

We use the radio, megaphones, and word of mouth as we drive through local neighborhoods. We talk about how this job is creating X amount per day, and we suggest people come join us at our training center for free training. People line up for these jobs. It's really, really important to them.

If you're looking to expand your leadership influence, shift your results, and tell a compelling story that differentiates your business, we’d love to talk to you. Schedule a conversation with an Altus Team Member here: https://altusgrowthpam.as.me/Zoom30min
