Kobe Bogaert and Dan Winter meet with Kyra Kennedy, co-founder, former CEO, and culture champion of Baratza, which develops, manufactures, and distributes high quality coffee grinders to consumers and professionals around the world. Kyra shares how Baratza grew its brand and consciously developed an organizational culture to support the switch from being founder-led to being acquired by a major and large consumer product company, Breville.

In today’s conversation, we identify the missing conversations that were revealed:

  • Growing the Baratza brand from startup to being a premier brand under the Breville umbrella

  • Building a sustainable company through customer care

  • Leadership style and a problem-solving approach to sales

  • Developing a shared vision and mission throughout the entire organization

  • Race, diversity, and inclusion in the workplace

  • Team dynamics and cohesion, and integrating different company cultures
