In this episode I invite you to join me around the virtual fire for a bit of doula storytelling. I am sharing with you the experience of attending my first homebirth a few years ago and how it transformed me, giving me a new insight into the beauty of birth. Tears and joy, fear and courage, all of them were present that night.
This is a story about a journey. A journey of discovering that a homebirth can be a life changing experience, that our bodies can do incredible things, that there's a reason women have been doing this for generations and supporting each other. This is also a story about choices, because everyone deserves to choose the birth that suits them best. I firmly believe that we learn best through the stories we tell, because they allow us to reflect on the experience and share about it. This will not be last story around the virtual fire, so stay tuned.
