Life is full of surprises but we try our best to avoid getting ambushed by the unexpected. Whether it’s a company’s poor sales report, an scout reporting an enemy’s front line maneuvers, or an oncologist calling about the test results, we want advance notice. We want an advance report from somebody who has “been there” and for Rob Stout, that meant befriending a man like Dallas Plese, who passed away recently after investing himself over the course of decades into younger men who needed a sense of life’s potential future hazards.

Today’s show is one part eulogy, one part sermon, and one part lament regarding a saint who successfully loved men back to life such that they were literally saved from a bottle, from a needle, or simply from their foolishness du jour. Today we celebrate the life of Dallas Plese, and Rob calls for men to follow Dallas’ example.
