Black Love in Letters: Part 3, Letter 3, Paul read by Krysiskeyblade

An Audio Series of Transcribed Words of Devotion between Black Men and the Black Women they Loved during Civil War and Beyond

Narrated by Descendants of the African Diaspora. Letters used were available in the public domain. My Black History Month gift to you, this is only the beginning. Enjoy.

.............................................................

The following are letters of Paul Laurence Dunbar, one of, if not the first African American writer to reach international fame for his poems and other literary works, and Alice Ruth Moore, a highly influential poet, essays, activist, and more. Both were the children of formerly enslaved persons. The letters read were written shortly after their engagement.

.............................................................

“Dear Little Wife-to-be: Your two dear letters have come to hand and been read, re-read, and kissed over and over again.”

“My darling, aometimes when I think you don't love me, it makes me bluer than I am naturally..."

Editing: Both Narrators, u/AsterionAudio, and SleepDaddy ASMR
