About Dr. David C. Geary
David C. Geary is a distinguished cognitive scientist and evolutionary psychologist, renowned for his expertise in mathematical cognition, learning, and the biological underpinnings of sex differences. With a Ph.D. from the University of California at Riverside in 1986, he has held faculty positions at the University of Texas at El Paso and the University of Missouri. Presently a Curators' Distinguished Professor and Thomas Jefferson Fellow in the Department of Psychological Sciences and Interdisciplinary Neuroscience Program, Dr. Geary has authored several influential books, including "Children's Mathematical Development," "Male, Female: The Evolution of Human Sex Differences," "The Origin of Mind: Evolution of Brain, Cognition, and General Intelligence," and "Evolution of Vulnerability: Implications for Sex Differences in Health and Development." He has also co-authored the book "Sex Differences: Summarizing More Than a Century of Scientific Research." Additionally, Dr. Geary has contributed over 330 articles and chapters across diverse fields such as cognitive, developmental, and evolutionary psychology, education, biology, and medicine. Notably, he has delivered invited addresses at various prestigious institutions in the United States, Canada, Europe, and East Asia, covering a wide spectrum of disciplines.
