Passage

Romans 15:7

ESV (English Standard Version)

Therefore welcome one another as Christ has welcomed you, for the glory of God.

NLT (New Living Translation)

Therefore, accept each other just as Christ has accepted you so that God will be given glory.

NIV (New International Version)

Accept one another, then, just as Christ accepted you, in order to bring praise to God.

Ask Yourself

"How can I actively listen and better understand the experiences and needs of neurodiverse individuals in my community this week?"

Walk it Out

Reflect

  • Meditate on Romans 15:7 and reflect on how you can accept others as Christ has accepted you, recognizing the glory this brings to God.
  • Take time this week to contemplate the command to view each person through the lens of God's love and compassion.
  • Journal about any biases you might discover and how they can be transformed into grace-filled actions.

Engage

  • Take a moment to connect with someone who might feel overlooked or misunderstood in your community.
  • Offer your genuine attention, listen to their story, and extend words of encouragement or support.
  • Reflect on how this engagement has impacted your understanding and awareness of inclusivity.

Pray

  1. Pray for neurodiverse individuals to feel understood and accepted within the church and the broader community.
  2. Pray for a deepened understanding and an empathetic heart for yourself and your community as you seek to be more inclusive.
  3. Pray for transformation within your own heart and life, that you may live out the love and acceptance Christ has shown you, fostering a welcoming environment for all.
