How a 6-year old named Alexis changed everything.
Recently, I taught a business workshop for a non-profit called Biz Kids. First, you should know that I've talked to children a total of six hours my entire adult life...
So, speaking 'kid' is like a foreign language to me.
But, as I worked through the session, I couldn't help but draw parallels to our challenges as business owners.
When asked if she learned anything, Alexis replied, "No."
The dialogue was hilarious to me (and her mother as she listened from the back of the room). In the end, she discovered the next activities she needed to do to move her business forward.
This got me thinking that sometimes, we're so deeply involved in our business that we overlook the basics.
