In this intro episode of Practicing Love, I introduce the concept of love as a practice, rather than a static feeling, or something to achieve once and for all. I emphasize the importance of exploring love with humility and curiosity, of growing (through both dating and in relationships), and the need for vulnerable honesty if we want to keep relationships alive and satisfying for the long-term. I outline foundational principles for practicing love, and explore how to navigate challenges with compassion and understanding. I also introduce future episodes where guests will vulnerably reveal their struggles, learnings and how they currently practice love. Our love and sex lives can be one of the most challenging parts of life. But it gets easier when you hear from others, and you know you're not alone. And when you start to see each situation -- even hurts, upsets and disappointments -- as a doorway to the love and intimacy you want.
