He is an active community organizer with Durham CAN (Congregations, Associations, & Neighborhoods) which is part of the Industrial Areas Foundation. He is also deeply active in the NAACP’s “Forward Together Moral Movement” in NC. Tim is the author of many works including Free for All: Reading the Bible in Community and the upcoming Organizing the Body of Christ (Chalice Press, Fall 2016). He is a Trustee Emeritus at the Seattle School of Theology and Psychology.
