The Bizniz Talk: Episode 12 - How to sell your products online using Facebook, Shopify and Marketplaces

When starting an online ecommerce store, one thing matters more than anything else: Your first sale. But transitioning your business from a traditional brick and mortar store can come with its own set of challenges, uncertainty and new territory for your business.

1. Sell your products through Facebook Marketplace. More and more people are spending time on Facebook, which has resulted in many people now shopping through Facebook Marketplace.

2. Sell your products through your own online store. Having your own online store comes with its own challenges but understanding which platform only the start. The options vary from Shopify, WooCommerce and Bigcommerce to name a few. Each has its own set of pro's and con's, including monthly or once-off fees.

3. Sell your products through a 3rd party Marketplace. A marketplace will allow you to sell your products on their platform for a commission. The marketplace has already built the platform/online store, payment gate and courier partners. Namely these are Amazon, Walmart for global marketplaces and local marketplaces such as TakeAlot, Bid or Buy, Jumia.
