(Season 65: Episode 04)

During the very first Easter Week, Jesus celebrated the Last Supper with his disciples the night before He was crucified.

On this Passover night, He sat with His disciples and gave them a clear picture of what He was about to do through their last meal together. He “took bread, and gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to [His disciples], saying, ‘This is my body given for you; do this in remembrance of me.’ In the same way, after the supper he took the cup, saying, ‘This cup is the new covenant of my blood, which is poured out for you.’”

We take communion as Christians in remembrance of what Jesus has done through His death and resurrection. The bread represents His body broken, and the wine depicts His blood spilled for the forgiveness of sins. He did it out of love for us!

And all we must do to receive forgiveness is to place our trust in Jesus alone. Learn how to share this Good News with others at our website sharelifeafrica.org
